Apple invites press to 14 October notebook event

Engadget posted the invitation to a widely-anticipated town hall event in San Francisco next Tuesday, October 14th at 10AM PST. The invite simply reads:

The spotlight turns to notebooks.

Yay. My work held off until the 14th before putting in our
order for 90 laptops. We're doing a 1:1 laptop pilot program
for the school. If the $799 price is true, we'll save quite a bit
(and the PTA will be happy with a price drop.)... (Read the rest)
